What our little Emmie has been up to

Well I left our camera at a friends house the other day so no pics right now..sorry! So since I don't have any pics I figured I would give you an update on what our little miss has been up to.

She is learning so many things right now! I just love watching her learn and discover new things! She is quite the talker and while most of it consist of jibber jaber she is starting to learn words. We have been teaching her the little sign language we know for a while now and she has picked it up so quick. It is so great for her to have a way to communicate what she wants! So far she knows how to sign: eat, more, all done, please, thank you, book, dog and milk. She also knows how to say a few words: mama, dada, dog (her absolute favorite!), nose, and horsey. She is also learning her body parts. She knows where her tummy is and where her nose is! She loves to go up to her dolls and find their nose and tummies too.

Another favorite thing of hers is reading! She loves to get out all of her books and we sit and read through all of them several times. But she also likes to climb in her rocker and read them all by herself. She has a sign language book that has several signs she knows and I will catch her in her rocker reading the book and signing the sign that is on the page....such a smartie! She also has a couple of animal books that she loves and she will go through those and make the noises of the animals....her favorites are the cow, the lion and the bear!

I love that she has such an interest in reading and learning and look forward everyday to seeing the new things that she is discovering!

One day while we were in San Angelo we had breakfast at McDonalds. Since there wasn't anybody there we let Emmie run around the playscape. This was her first time and she loved it. Here are some pictures from her adventure!

Diaper Bag

So my next craft project was making a diaper bag! I found the most incredibly easy pattern and got started. Here are the pics along the way!

Daddy's Picture

Emmie found a small picture frame with her daddy's picture in it the other day. She has since walked around carrying it with her everywhere! She sure does love her daddy!

Well I should amend that; Emmie loves starbucks...me not so much. Emmie loves to eat all of the whip cream!

Craftiness

So I have been in a totally crafty mood lately. So I took out my sewing machine for my first craft project that was for our niece Landry's birthday present. I took a plain white apron....


and some fabric.....




to make a pocket....



and then cute out a letter L and sewed it on to make a customized apron just for her!
